Jb4 access from steering wheel
Just installed my jb4 with obd connection, I can't get anything to work over the steering wheel?
I have seen a ton of videos from bunger and you tube, they all leave me with different ways to change the settings over the steering wheel, is there any one there can help me? My car is 2012 335i us model. My steering wheel is M sport and again I don't know witch buttons to press to get access ? I have checked if there is 12V to the box. Thanks in advance. |

Do you have a connector going into the car into the OBD diagnostic port? If so this is how to change maps.

I just checked the obd connection, the actual obd harness have 3 cables in one connector, but the harness coming from the t map only have 2 cables in the connector is that as it should be?

This is what you need to do. Mine did not have new firmware pre-installed. Download it and install and it will work.

I can almost guarantee that is what it is as my JB4 is several months old and everything was hooked up fine, so I e-mailed Terry a screenshot from my laptop when it was hooked up and he verified that was needed. Very easy. Download OBD firmware from N54 tech. Hook up laptop via USB(hopefully you have one) and update firmware.

Ok, I found my problem with control over steering wheel.
I was the shitty connector for the obd cable, there was NO contact on the 2 pins in the connector I had to bend the 2 pins a little and then it all worked fine. The connectors are not in a very good quality! I also upgraded the firmware, don't know if it was needed or not. |
