Advise on best tuning options for 335i after warranty expires

I need some advise on if I should go ahead and get the MPPK or wait till my warranty expires and go for a better tune. Can the experts here provide some insight?

I don't want to void my warranty by going for a tune that is not endorsed by BMW at the moment. At the same time, I also don't mind waiting till my warranty expires to go for a better tune if available. I just need some advise so I can make the right decision.

As some have said that the MPPK is overpriced for what it offers. Is there a better yet safe alternative?

Thanks, appreciate it

You dont need to wait until your warranty expires just get a Jb stage 1 and remove it before your dealership visit

Once warranty expires get the Jb4 stage 2 and go FBO

Thanks, does JB4 stage 2 deliver silky smooth power? anything I need to be aware of? And I am guessing this tune is safe for the engine. How much would it cost with labor costs included?

I am looking at the MPPK as well but just don't feel like spending $1,700 for a mild tune. When you spec up the 335i with tuning, it ends up in the M3/M4 price territory. Maybe its just better to get a M car because it includes lot of standard equipment.

First time installers will need 45 minutes
It can easily be done at home no need for a mechanic

Tune is safe for the engine , you can also datalog and check how the car is handling all the extra boost

Nothing additional is needed, just install it and you are set

You should probably be aware that the OEM tune is reigning in boost and power in effort to make it smooth power delivery. The JB4 is counteracting that, so it's not as smooth but it's also faster. If you want to go back to stock for a bit, it's super easy with bluetooth or the BC button (if you go ODB2). I certainly think it's worth the trade off and the JB4 seems to be the prevailing solution on this forum.

I also used one until I got it dyno flash tuned.

So the dealership wont be able to tell that the car has been running with Jb stage 1 and it was recently removed prior to the visit?
