435i mpe exhaust flap mod

Hello
My friend just picked up a 435i with mpe exhaust. I've done the exhaust flap mod on my m5 with hardwiring. I am aware that the 435 has a electric connector for the mpe exhaust flap. Just wondering if the process is the same, let the car run with the flap open and then pull the connector to have the flap leave open for the increased noise.

Yes. I revved mine, made sure flap opened, then pulled plug. I wrapped my plug end with a rubber glove and tucked it away.
