I posted this same reply to your comment on the official BM3 thread:

Timing is a mess but I don't see any knock.

Is this the stock tune? The log file shows "Stock".
What octane fuel and what mods are you running?

I had similar issues on the stage 1 91 octane tune on our crappy CA 91 octane and have had fantastic results running the new ACN 91 tune.

Looks like you’ve got the same issue a lot of us have in the west. I had the same problems and had to start going ACN91 and I always add some boostane just to help out a bit.

Man, here I thought the quality gas was better up here than ACN.

How was your timing after switching to ACN91? Mines looked a lot better but towards the end it slightly got out synced. Also saw a knock towards 2kish rpm. This was all done switching to stage 2 acn91. Not sure if this is normal still or should I be worried and ditch this whole bm3.

I’ve finally gone back to just running Costco 91 here in Utah with a little bit of boostane professional. Timing according to PTF is where it should be but I noticed it definitely is cleaner when I run either a 91 or 93 map after doing 3 gallons of 100 + 12 gallons of 91 and some boostane.

I guess at this point I’m not seeing any knocking on acn 91 with some
Boostane Professional and Costco gas. I just hate that in UT we should have some pretty decent 91 and yet I’m stuck with the horrible octane tune.

I did run APR stage 1 91 with my last car and everything was peachy for the 60k miles I had it tuned so I don’t know if it’s BM3 or just the gas and finicky car.

Did you ever datalog on the APR tune to see what the timing/knock looked like?
