Big Boost Custom Turbo with Built Engine ( Mods )
Hey guys,
I thought I would write this post as I have been working with Juan@BigBoost_Turbo to do a turbo upgrade as well as piston and rods build. We started the process about 2/3 weeks ago and let's just say if you are interested it is definitely an amazing build but very tedious as far as getting all the correct parts! Below is a list of all parts ( not tools ) we have purchased for this project: - CP Carrillo pistons/rods - Big boost stage 3+ kit - manifold - manifold gasket - Downpipe (Catless) - Tial Wastegate - turbocharger (6764 mm) - Oil feed and drain - Hose clamps - Lower intake Pipe - chargepipe - EWG bracket - Boost Controller - Additional injection nozzle - Additional injection Solenoid - Additional injection wiring and hobbs switch - AFE Power intake - AEM meth kit V2 Water/Methanol Nozzle and Controller Kit, Standard Controller - Internal MAP with 35psi max, 200psi WM Pump, Jets, NO TANK INC. V2 Water/Methanol Injection 5 Gallon Tank Kit with Conductive Fluid Level Sensor V2 Water/Methanol Injection Nozzle & Jet Kit, Includes T Fitting, Hose, 250cc, 500cc, & 1000cc jets - machine work on the top block only - king racing main & rod bearings - in the process of ordering an interchiller & upgraded EMP intercooler pump as well from force inductions The goal of this post is of course to put down amazing power but to open the eyes of the b58 world to see what exactly are all the challenges we are looking at to really truly get to high power. Plus I am a little to impatient for the new Supra to come out than wait 6-1 year of "testing" blah blah blah. I have been documenting everything on this build and am planning to post pictures as soon as I can get them to fit the required format for the forums. If you have any questions at all please feel free to message away I will be honest I am not the most on top of this forum but do answer the messages I promise another good way is to hit me on instagram or hell even text me directly I have no problem provided a number if you want to reach out. My goal for posting this is for us all to bounce ideas around or even if there is someone else out there doing the same build to chime in! Thanks, Tyler

But I ordered my car with the M LSD so plan to see what all it can hold before we start breaking things. Again the goal is to see what the limit is for these cars, not saying I want to break things but am really interested to see the limitations!

We have discussed it and will see exactly where it leads, main focus is not snapping another piston ring right now haha

Out of interest, on stock turbo and stock internals does anyone know what the maximum crank horsepower is achievable (within safety limits).

I mean Juan's car that broke 600+'s is still on stock internals so I would assume he would be the best to chime in on that question.

I wish my shop had knocked them out while I was at work so I wasn't able to really be involved in that process as much as I wanted to be!

As someone that's been there, don't over build it. It overcomplicates things for no reason.
i.e. probably no reason to sleeve a coated, closed deck block. |

Gotcha, I'll definitely keep that in mind like I said this is my first time taking it to this extent so really want to learn the limitations
