what do i need for a full clutch upgrade f30 335ixdrive n55 6mt

clutch has been slipping from upgrades and tune. end game is pure stage 2 turbo. what do i need for a full reliable stong clutch upgrade? i have done research on 550i clutch. i am unfamiliar with clutch components flywheel etc. i see stage 2 clutch upgrades but is that all that is required? i dont want to upgrade part of my clutch and still have weak 335ix clutch parts.

please help me out on the parts needed and what labor looks like to have installed.

thanks

i also have read about a solenoid that prevents "grannys" from a jerky ride when they shift. please offer insight on what this is and if this is my issue.

i dont want to spend another dime on mods that dont fix my issue. thanks

You were pretty rude to the people suggesting that your clutch was the issue. I doubt anyone that read that thread wants to help.

Hopefully someone new comes along.

future proof your build with spec stage 2+ or stage 3 and get the steel SMFW. If you end up doing E85 once you have PS2 and put down more power you dont want to have to change out the clutch again.

Arghhh.... this guy.
It's called a clutch delay valve (CDV for short) not a granny shift solenoid. Fawk bro do you search or read anything ever?

Nah man, people hate forums where the same person cross posts and starts multiple threads about the same issue, posts about his issue in other people's threads, shits on people trying to help them in all the threads and people of forums also hate people who clearly don't search or do any research whatsoever.

Anyways good luck with your clutch upgrade. I find it hilarious that you bought a $3000 hpfp chasing down the issue that you were told was clutch slipping months ago. Who knows what else you have wasted money and time on chasing down this issue rather than doing research and reading posts that would have further opened your eyes to the fact that your clutch was slipping.

Your car isn't rare either it's just that not as many 6mt f30 cars are out there and those that are aggressive with tuning them are running into the same issue with the clutch not being able to handle such torque increase but you would have known that with a few minutes of searching on this forum.

i spend hours on the forums. when you read a forum thats two years old and dead i throw a new forum out there to get CURRENT info.
i have been working with bm3 and other tuners through this process and they have recommended doing the upgrades ive installed. i am very pleased with my build so far. all the upgrades are making the car reliable and rock solid because my n55 is my daily.

you find it hilarious i installed the best hpfp on the market? said i "wasted" 3000k it wasnt that much first off, secondly these are upgrades for when i run a ps2 turbo. i have great shops to go to. maybe the best one in the united states.
so when i put a ps2 turbo on and get increased flow for more horsepower i will be good to go.

your a weirdo and a complete bum. not once have i commented on one of your posts, but you love coming to mine.

its clear as day that for some reason I am all up under your skin, fucking up your emotions.

the fuck you worrying about how i spend my money? i find it hilarious that you cant resist commenting on my posts. you passive aggresive bitch.

post a spot to meet and well do a car meet. your so invested in my actions and life that maybe we could meet up and compare builds? and then you can feel free to act this way when im face to face with you.

waddya say ak?

LOL. You sound like a child. Can't even spell
stuff correctly.

You changed out the HPFP to fix an unrelated issue, not to prepare your build for PS2. Cmon man. We're not dumb and some of us read all your posts. It's hard not to, since you ask the same questions over and over.

But seriously, you should treat those trying to help you with respect. You never know how many "randoms" have watched you make an ass of yourself on here.

Save the "come see me in person" speech for Call of Duty.

the 335is/550i clutch kit is ~400 bux online and labor is around 5-7 hours book if I recall correctly. That assumes you don't need a new fly wheel which is a expensive. If you don't know what you need just let the shop figure it out for you, that way it's their problem. You pay more but mistakes are costly as well.

Remember a clutch is a wear item so it slipping probably doesn't indicate you need an upgraded, just that it's worn out. Unless you have low milage on your 2013. I have the 335is/550i on my car for a year now, no problems just like stock.

edit just noticed you have X drive, I am sure that adds time and cost, my car is RWD.

when looking at the spec stage 2+clutch there is an option menu for smfw. smfw is needed for the clutch. these are good up to 500hp and torque, if looking to exceed that stage 3+ is needed, and yes it fits xdrive.

Yo guys!
Lol this is supposed to be a resource not shit talking. I am a new member of the bmw community... i have been in the CorvetteForum world for 7 years and i got to say, you can really see the age difference in the ownership. The bmw f30 is a great platform, but there isn’t a ton of information for the diyers to look at. Any problem we have we need to work together, because you never know when it will be you writing that post asking for help. Let’s try to ignore the pettyness and help each other in a mature way. In the cf forum this thread would have been deleted and everyone warned... it doesn’t need to be like this, just let the past shit talking be the past. And start with a clean slate of common respect.

i agree 100 percent man well said. your right. but the forums will always have cancerous parts. to spread disinformation or to discourage people to post their experiences and helpful information.

its not acting like a "tough guy" in fact thats what you are as you hide behind your screen.

i simply am stating hey act like an asshole at our car meet to my face.

Any tuning company should start adjusting the FBO requirements for stage 2 or higher on 6MT cars.

Same here but I have almost 80k miles and I've been tuned since 40k. Getting it replaced next week with the 550/335is clutch kit and deleting the CDV while in there.
