I think I'd be a good candidate to review the 7" MAD intercooler and provide how it handles a BM3 stage 2+ tune. Full or partial sponsorship for a review. 😬

The only difference between the VRSF and BMS should be the stupid diverter (which looks like crap) in the BMS core - I think it’s also 6.5” in depth.
The MAD unit is 6” (per Mike's measurements) in depth and is 16/fins in vs 18 for the two above. Curious to how much it will impact performance. At the price point though, it may be a good buy. It's getting harder and harder to justify non race cores even for regular stage 2 drivers. Last edited by AmuroRay; 11-15-2021 at 12:33 PM.. |

It’s slightly different, but the price may make it a good buy. If VRSF had better QC and customer service, they would be unbeatable.

I installed from the bottom, but i did end up removing the bumper. This allows the ducting on the bottom of the IC that needs to be significantly flexed to push the IC up to move forward more. If you have stock TIC and you uncouple your CP so you can move that upward to push the IC up, you may be able to install from the bottom without bumper removal. I have aftermarket TIC and i did not want to touch my CP coupling so i needed as much room as possible. Even if you remove the bumper, you still install from the bottom, not from the front of the car. Ive installed 5'' ICs many times from the bottom without bumper removal, but the 7'' race are much harder.

Well even with just the 30% off sale right now (+5% you can probably stack) the 7'' race is very cheap lol. Looking forward to someone testing it.

there is not much to it, to be honest. intercooler dimensions, core density, design, and material. everything has been posted already, if you understand and like what you see, you will be happy with the result

VRSF Race IC
VRSF Race Intercooler. Made a big difference. Even when I was only on BM3 Stage 1. You won't be disappointed.
