New 7 Series Grille
Great sense of humour when he reveals the forthcoming 2023 grille!

That 2020 grille will be a barrier to sales.

I do enjoy his reviews. Doesn't take himself or the job too seriously and seems to enjoy himself.

Side on, the new 7 looks tidy, especially with a nice set of wheels. Saw one today. But fuck me, that grille is truly as awful as you read about. It's comical. I honestly think they must have to take a new tack with the lci, as it must be putting people off.

Its what they do to the next 4 that is the question. If its some hideous fence panel I will have to go buy that Porsche I have never wanted to own

Have been driving my 440i MPPSK around some great roads in W Cornwall over the past few days and still really enjoying the car after 18 mths. I hope the new 4 is a looker, but if it isn't, I might just keep this one beyond 3 yrs - which would be a first. The wife would think I'd lost me marbles

God that grill is hideous. The simple solution to the Chinese market's obsession with big grills (and ironically long wheelbases), was to just make them for that market and left the European model with reasonable sized grills.
Amazing review as always.

According to Scott the Bimmerpost BMW insider, the G22 front is very different to the G20 front and the grills are bigger...

I predict next generation there will be different versions of models for different markets. This updated 7 series is going to tank in Europe, big time! |

The 7 and the X7 have the best of the new BMW front ends IMHO. In particular, the X7 immediately made the X5 look a bit old hat, which was something that I found a bit disappointing when they launched so close together. Wills, the 7 looks a great place to be, hope you're still enjoying yours even if you wish it was RWD (iirc). NB. I'm not a fan of the new merc-like silver buttons though, is that a LCI thing?
