DIY: BMW F30 Parking Assistant(Park Assist) Retrofit

deneyer is correct. In the 2nd generation(LCI) Parking Assistant, the extra 2 side Rear Sensors are PDC type, not PMA sensors. PMA sensors are only the front 2 sensors.

Hello guys,
I have retrofitted surround view, pma gen 2, lcw and heated steering wheel with the amazing roxxor tutorials. I had problem with flex relay port in lcw but I used tool 32 to open the 5ag port. But now I am ending the pma retrofit but I have a problem with front left ultrasonic pma sensor. The fault in ista is short on positive. Anybody know what is the meaning? does the sensor need to be activate?

Hi, I made PMA2 retrofit on my bmw f31 with 2 PMA sensors on the front and 2 PDC on the back, this is all working but I was wondering if it is possible to activate the Active_pdc and side PDC. Side PDC appears on NBT but does not work. Its possible Coding for activate?

try to modify the value in fdl ... of PMA change it to PMA 2

Side pdc work now. but i have a question for who has done this retrofit, does the car use the automatic brakes to park or not?

It will work, I did not have to re-change out the Pulse Generators after I added the extra two for the Gen 2 upgrade I did.

gen2 just need two extra rear side sensors and new modul ? that's all ?

Correct. However just as a reminder, gen 2 uses 2 regular PDC sensors for the rear sides, not 2 additional PMA sensors.

But on my rear bumper only PMA sensors fit correctly into hole, I tried to put regular pdc on side parking sensor holes, but they are differently shaped.

My apologies, I am not familiar with the 1-series, which is why I mentioned on page 1 that my parts list may vary for other vehicles. It looks like the 1-series uses the PMA type all around except for 2 sensors on the front bumper. Find the correct part number for your rear bumper sensors here:

Hi I don’t sure if anyone of you can help but I have BMW F30 2015 with iDrive 4 and rear park sensor. I want to add the front sensor but I don’t think my car have front PDC- is it possible to add sensor for front car? - I am based in UK. Thanks

I’m considering using normal PDC holders to hold the sensors.

Hi, i retrofitted PMA2 sensors.

No error on sensors scanning ecu.
NBT shows only the 4 sensors on side in red, no other.

Only error in pma is

ICM Interface (steering angle , front axle , effective 56.1.2) probably caused from ABS Sensors still not changed)

Can someone help me? i checked and checked again the cable, is everything ok.

Maybe DSC Still not coded?
