Any advice on how to fix this weird dent in bumper?

Some a*hole damaged my bumper. Cannot tell what it was but seems like a round rod of sort. Any suggestions?

Should I try the boiling water and then frozen water method? Dent puller with hot glue?

I think you're well beyond a simple fix here, however you can try anything to see if it does anything. That looks beyond help, to me.

It does not look that tragic in real life. But I see your point...it looks more like an impression than a dent.

I am retrofitting a Lane Change Warning soon, so will need to remove the bumper anyway. Will see what it looks like on the other side.

Worst case scenario may be putty and repaint that section.

Why does it appear to be metallic?

Not metallic, just how the light hits it.

OK. I'd pull it and heat it from the inside.
