F30 335i 6MT Journal

Never had a legit journal to document my car so this will be a start!

Purchased this vehicle in October of 2021 after having a 16 328i M sport. Never had a manual car and came across a deal I couldn't pass up on. I haven't done much to the car yet but plan on documenting whats to come.

Modifications:
Resonator Delete
BMS Wheel Spacers, 10mm front 12mm Rear
CTS Turbo High-Flow Cat
Bilstein B14 Coilovers
Depo LCI Taillights
M Performance Shift Knob
Michelin Pilot Sport AS4
M Performance Front Lip
M Performance Diffuser
M Performance CF Spoiler

DEPO LCI Taillights, got them for a steal on eBay.

Decided against GTS style lights for a cleaner look.

Recently got a M Performance Style CF spoiler

Apple CarPlay

Got carlinkit's apple car play box for the f30.

Prime day deal had it listed for $240

Kind of finicky but gets the job done.

Nice! I'm another person who's looking to get the LCI taillights but doesn't want the GTS style. To me the GTS lights are too tacky.

Yeah, that's a better way of putting it.

If I had an M3 I might like them.

Restored Headlights with 3M KIT

Got a 3M headlight restoration kit. Headlights had a lot of yellowing. They looked amazing when I first did the restoration, but a couple months later they are a little dull.

Exhaust

Recently Picked up an Active Autowerke Exhaust from a fellow forum member. Exhaust was Brand New so I figured why not.

Not the biggest fan and in hindsight would rather keep the stock exhaust or purchase an MPE over the AA. Obviously sound is subjective, but the tone of the exhaust isn't something I'm super happy about on the interior of the car.

The best way I can describe it is the stock exhaust had a cleaner and more focused sound with a little bit of rasp, while the AA is much more bass heavy and muddy almost.

Drone is immediately noticeable which was expected, I'd compare it at 2k rpm to 2.5k rm to a muffler delete...

The tone is definitely deeper which some may prefer, but personally I'd rather have a higher pitched exhaust more akin to the Stock Exhaust/MPE.

From the outside it sounds amazing, just wish it translated more to the interior.
