Dealer putting in over 26k They must have a fair few to shift, but what a deal, nothing comes close for me, if I didn't need an estate for dogs I would be on that deal Like a tramp on chips. |

The trouble with the M5 deal, its only on stock cars, most of which have been in stock a few months - and most of which are quite well specced. Those numbers are for a standard car - so add in £5k of extras and the numbers look a bit less attractive... But its a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a car I will never have again, so who knows... Also been offered a cheap (relatively) GLC 63 - but my daughter has a GLC and I dont want to have the same! Alfa PCP prices are laughable... |

If you fancy it in this moment then go for it. You're sensible with money and have your ducks firmly in a row so go for it. |

For me right now i would be looking at some of the good deals on RRS. That's because it suites my current needs, might be useless for the OP..

I know it's not really news to anyone.......but -
New M5 - OTR £91,600. GFV after 4 years is £35,701. New RRS - OTR £68,155. GFV after 4 years is £36,366. I know when you get down to it the deals are very similar but the depreciation on the M5 is mental (suppose that comes down to the pie in the sky OTR price!!). |

I'm being genuine I don't know. However it's framed it just highlights the BMW throwing darts at numbers pricing policy. I know it's been discussed numerous times on numerous different cars but when you see it in black and white like that it's startling! |

Got one. and next to no return in it these days... dont really want another! ISA produces better returns unless house prices leap in next few years - and with the state of the political arena, would you bet on that??

I also have an estate for dogs but there is a school of thought that says they'd be safer in the passenger cell of the car in the event of an accident (especially if someone were to hit you from behind). For that a reason a friend with dogs puts hers on the (covered!) back seat of her GLA secured with harnesses; not sure I'd want our wet, muddy, labradors, on the back seat of an M5 (covered or not) but it's an alternative way of looking at things!

They go in a robust crate, and on command jump in so what ever condition they are in I never have to touch them. The boot has a liner that drops down to cover the bumper so no damage to the paintwork and unlike an SUV the load lip is low so the little one can make the jump. The thought on mine on the back seat on a M5 would blow my head |

However, I still believe the boot and behind a proper dog guard is the safest and best place for them. Can't imagine trying to put a harness on mine and then clip them onto the back back seat. |

All he did was simplify it further given your response. Depreciation has nothing to do with list price, even if they choose to print it on the invoice. If you didn't pay it, you haven't lost it. |
