B46/B48 Stage 2 w/ 300+ whp, 350+ wtrq sub 13.5s 1/4 Mile, Dyno, & Tuning Thread

Looking for others with stage 2 on a b48, anyone have dyno and quarter mile times?

My car is in the shop and looking for a discussion of what kind of power, 1/4 miles, PSI and dynos of anyone with a stage 2 b48/b46.

Looking to discuss reliability for daily use as well.

Please feel free to post your dragy, timer, drag strip ticket, etc for 1/4 mile, dyno or logs for B46/B48 even if you haven't stage 2, feel free to share anything / comment!

The drag strip run was with a really strong headwind, so maybe another mile or two is possible. I once trapped it 102 with the dragy. Also attached are best runs on the street with the dragy. And for people wondering if the dragy is accurate, it sure is! I ran it concurrently on my 550i and it ran within a thousandth of a second and 0.1mph

Nice thread and thanks for adding my car! I’ll try to make 12.3 run before weather becomes snowy and dirty here. I’ll have to fix some minor issues with the car and to find better xhp launch control settings for that. Btw the car ran 12.7 (Dragy) without using launch control recently, just floored it and I was really impressed with that numbers. Was running 12.4-12.5 using launch control with little wheelspin, so 12.3 is definitely possible but hard to achieve. I can add some latest racing videos with telemetry and others.

true and perhaps beating the R33 is the most impressive? I saw the close race vs the 340i as well, it speaks volumes to B48 tuning potential and definitely like for like mods, a B58 is just straight up faster.

340 is in completely different league! R33... Yeah I was surprised with the result myself. Another racing that wasn’t filmed:
Audi rs3 1st gen 340 hp stock, it had st2 tune and he lost couple of car lengths. Strange result but that’s racing.
Shkoda yeti st3 ko4 turbo around 350 hp lost me 2-3 car lengths.
Stock Impreza sti 280 hp lost badly, don’t know how many car lengths, maybe 8...))
St2 340 mhd, here of course I lost badly, his time was 11,7.

True. Apparently we're supposed to see snow tonight but who knows. Time to bump it down to map 1 I guess

I'm curious to see what this n46/b48 can do before it requires internals and an engine build. Good times !

Wheelspins galore even on part throttle today because of the snow and slippery roads. Oh well.

I would love to get some posted. I do not own Draggy and I would argue the GPS based apps for the iphone and android wouldn't provide good data points.

Other than purchasing Draggy, any recommendations on ios or android apps I could use?

I am also waiting on an FI Exhaust that is currently in transit which will remove the secondary cats and really make a huge difference in both sound and performance, further taking advantage of the stage 2 tune. (Hopefully)

The accuracy of the other apps is no where close. Recommend getting a dragy or if you have access to track use their timing system or check a friend who has dragy. Hopefully for black friday sales someone has them up for good prices. Email Mike (mike@x-ph.com) he sells them and may be able to advise if any discounts.

Like SRHosein said. Dragy is very accurate. Phone apps are not. According to phone apps, my car does the quarter mile in anywhere between 10.5s to 17s and the 0-60 between 2s to 8s! All using launch control on the same stretch.
Unfortunately, I've never seen a dragy go on sale. Always sells for $149.99 unless you get a used unit from Amazon (usually sold by burger ms or turner).

Hi and welcome!

I'd reeeeeally like to know a dragy result on your setup... and dyno results!

I've got a 2019 120i with the mods;

Supersprint de-catted downpipe, OPF delete, and complete 3" Supersprint exhaust system running into a MPE backbox.
FTP Chargepipes/intake pipes
K&N drop-in filter. (Had MST Performance installed but got tired of the "blow-off" kinda sound it made)
Sport gearbox software (From 140i etc) for Launch control and aggresiver gears.
Wagner tuning chargecooler

Been close to getting the BM3, but i haven't been able to find anyone who have roughly same mods as mine(st2 viable) and with proper dynos/dragy results.... so not been too keen until now.

Had mine on dyno and had 300.2hp and 442nm of torque, of course not whp.....

Having 32000km and no problems so far, had it from factory new.
