We own a 328 (daughter)-not happy about mounting a front plate... I also have an M5 and refuse to utilize a front plate; give me a ticket. I'm don't care. The front plate isn't happening... I live in TX. The front plate is BS.

We are. That said, we have a few items to clean up on our books, as all states do. For instance, we just cleaned up the lack of open carry... That "Tea enough" for you?

Signed. I have been driving without a front license plate in Plano and neighborhing cities for 17 years and have never had a ticket. Only been pulled over a couple of times, but both a warning.

I have one of the front plate holders that utilize the tow hook hole. I never run it unless I'm stopped. I will just tell them I had the dang car towed again to the dealership and they didn't put it back on. I throw it in the rear floor board when we go on long hauls. in Houston they don't give a crap it you have it or not. been stopped before by HPD and they never said a word. Now the DPS they are total azz hats about it. I won't get a rental car out of the Dallas with a state that does not have a front plate. I've been stopped before for it even though it was an out of state car.

I just got my new F30 in April and gonna chance it without the front plate...last 335 had the tow hook bracket. I see a lot of cars without one, mostly nicer cars and I always wonder if they get hassled.

I stopped running them decades ago. Got stopped once by dps told em the car jsut came out of paint shop and no one had the front brackets in the US because of Covid supply chain issues.

My wife who is a more follow the rules person has hers in the windscreen passenger side on her atlas because I refused to drill the bumper.

Want I want is instead of the 27 bazillion color/pattern of Texas plates to choose from, for there to be an approved euro sized plate.
