Turner Motorsports CP vs. Evolution Racewerks CP

Hey everyone, gonna be doing the chargepipe upgrade before winter; what's a better chargepipe, turner or evolution racewerks? Don't recommend VRSF, not a fan of their products, thanks.

Can't speak on Turner since I have never tried it or knew anyone in person that has it, but I love my Evolution Racewerks. Easy to install, OEM gaskets fitted great and amazing quality.

If money is no object ER

Between the two, I'd get the Turner for 1/2 price of ER or both cold and hot Turner for $100 less than ER.

Personally I'd get CTS Turbo, or FTP(I have). FTP provides their own o-rings that are better(imo) than OEM and is also offered as a cold/hot combo cheaper than ER cold.

You didn't mention any performance mods. If none, save your money and don't do a CP. It could be a PITA.

You've seen the post with all the people who broke theirs on stock? Why run the risk.

N55 chargepipes are always a failure point, even under stock boost.

I've FTP too, great quality and fitment, it's kinda in the middle when it comes to price. They are made in Taiwan, hence the better quality as compared to Chinese counterparts. I think CTS is similar.

It was and issue for the N54 too, wasn't it?

I've not talked to anyone with the N54 or N55 engine with higher mileage who HASN"T had to replace the charge pipe(s) despite all of them being stock. It is a reason I follow all threads on this topic closely.

I have no plans to modify the engine, but would still like to upgrade to a better quality, metal charge pipe.

The chargepipes suck in the N55.

I would go with the FTP pipes. I'm looking at them for the N20. They seem to offer great fitment and quality at a price point that's hard to beat.
