WTD: 18"/19" (403M?) Staggered Winter Wheels

Hi all, as the title really, I'm after a set of winter wheels for my newly purchased F31 335D with 403M wheels. Ideally I'd like another set of 403M's but failing that, the stock 18" wheels would be fine, albeit staggered rather than square if possible. Prices on ebay are all over the place and a lot of them are in pretty rough shape. Does anyone have anything on here they're looking to get rid of? I don't mind scabby 403M's for the right price, or if the wheels have trashed tyres, but equally if someone has a good winter set up with Run Flats then I'd be interested. Unfortunately I can't risk not using run flats up here without a spare.

Cheers!

I'd not want to go for 19" wheels for winter tyres - tyres will be more expensive, and the sidewall 'flex' is part of what gives the good grip on winters.

I went with a square setup from mrwinterwheels a few years ago, the black Borbet 18" alloys with Pirelli Sottozero tyres - they do fit over the blue brakes, and the traction on them - even with RWD - is incredible. Even on packed snow / ice, they just kept on pulling

Thanks for your input, it's appreciated.

I've used winter tyres for the last fifteen years on pretty much every car I've owned. Currently I've got Sottozero 3's on my Impreza and with a bit of momentum you can get through up to 12" snow with it, as long as you're willing to use the front bumper as a snowplough. That's on 17" wheels with 45 profile tyres as they're needed to clear the brakes but they're outstanding, even when I had it on coilovers for a few years.

I get the improvement in traction with the 18" wheels, and that they're less susceptible to damage on hidden road debris/holes. But, given they're on the car for half the year up here I don't want to be staring at some ugly wheels on the car for half the time I own it and therefore the preference would be for either 403M's (that way the car looks no different between summer and winter), or 18" OEM M Sport 400 wheels (so at least looks like a stock M Sport car). Maybe other BMW OEM wheels would be considered if they suited the car but I'm not putting Borbet's on it, my mate's ruined every car he's had in the last ten years with a set of black Borbets for his winter tyres!

Cheers
