If it's a brand new car, I'd be insisting on a new wheel, not a refurb.

OP states oxidisation on the wheel so it says to me that it's a used car not new.

In which case, surely it's under warranty and the wheel would be replaced for the oxidisation :

It's new. Diamond cut is a waste of time. Any diamond cut I have had. Got it repaired or replaced under warranty and after that had it powder coated. It was damaged by the transportation company when it was delivered to me. The dealer investigated it. Same for the stone chip as that wasn't in the vehicle condition report or video.

I like your yellow audi in your profile.

Any wheel damage on a new car should be a new wheel. I wouldn’t mind a tiny paint touch up on a car, but not on a wheel.

Although, I guess, if the repair goes bad you could ask for a replacement then.

Cheers You don't lose it in a car park.....

As Goneinsixtyseconds says though, new car - new wheel. No ifs or buts.

If you take a refurb you won't be able to have it done again if you scrape it yourself. You only get one cut on a wheel before it gets too thin at the lip. Worth considering.

Spoke with them again. They will pay for a replacement wheel and have asked local dealer to send invoice to them if they decline warranty. They are confident it can be swapped under warranty.

Rightly so. Shouldnt have tried your patience though.

I am privately pissed they think its got a chance of warranty s they declined my warranty claim, refusing to even ask BMW due to tyre fitter damage
