Secondhand stock overflowing!!

Tried two dealers for an appointment to fix my sunroof and change brake fluid both said earliest appointment 3 or 4 weeks time!! Recall work impacting normal appointment schedule !

What amazed me with both dealers there was no available customer parking and the forecourts were so full of second hand stock they both looked like a very untidy car auction. Hardly any customers in showroom and seems cars in customer parking were demos

I guess they are just not shifting enough metal.

It's expected that used stock would be plentiful at this time of year, as it's also end of year sales time to clear out the 2018 models. I doubt recall work impacts the service that much, there aren't a lot of recalls for BMW. Things don't look so rosy for Toyota and Lexus, though.

Was that for an appointment with a free loaner?

Or appointment period.

Appointments with loaners can easily run 2-3 weeks....and this time of the year I suspect it would be backed up with people taking time off.

No loaner just an appointment to get the work done

OP is in the UK, (2018) specific year models are not viewed in quite the same way as the US market. We are also in the middle of a major recall (something like 268,000 cars) for diesel EGR issues.
