As always, thanks for your wealth of knowledge Shawn!
If you can make it work with just Coding, then only Lite is needed. If you end up needing to Program ECU, then you will need Full. I cant predict how yours turns out.

Yes, all ECU, and token not required for flashing.
Thank you !

How long does updating all ecus take ? What is better, individual update or full istep upgrade ? What happens if flashing an ecu fails, is it soft or hard bricked ?

I want to make sure i dont screw anything up while updating 6 years old software (2012 istep)

Update time varies, based on how old current firmware is versus new firmware, and the number of updates needed to bring current. Around 3 hours to program entire car would not be uncommon.

As for Individual or Full Update, Full update would always be better as it would account for all dependencies. That said, I don't update anything without good reason to in first place ( i.e. Bug Fix, Feature Added, etc.).

If ECU Fails, can be soft brick or hard bricked. Impossible to predict.

As for new features i dont know if they added some for my old cic/combox unit, but i would like to update it to see if it solves my audio lag issue with bluetooth. I also have an issue that whenever i use the automatic wipers, the cruise control becomes a little heistant sometimes (2-3 minutes intervals and it triggers my ocd), i'm loosing 2-3km/h then becoming stable again imediately (weird issue i know but after testing i'm sure it comes from when the auto wipers are on).
And last i would like to update my Fem to be able to set MAPPING_NEBELSCHW_X_PWM_LEVEL_1 to "100%" because current fw version only has voltage level option as 5A1 led fogs where not available before lci, and this might be the reason why i get residual glow on my retrofited led fog lights. (i could add led drivers but this would be too easy and take the fun away )

Edit: also when using cruise control the green indicator is off the actual speed by 2-3km/h but only when the outside temp is under 5 degres celsius (another weird bug lol)

My car was born without Launch Control (J039619) which was available on later models. Any chance I might be able to add this feature with a newer Istep? I suspect it cannot be coded as the option was now available at that time...
