Question Anyone with basic bluetooth try this for streaming?

I was just wondering if anyone had tried one of these a2dp dangles with headphone jack to stream content from the phone to the car stereo via auxiliary input while maintaining phone functionality through the car bluetooth?

Could something like this be possible?

I've have the Blackberry unit (supposedly the best when I bought it -- used with iPhone), had another before that and have used a 3rd quite a bit that's in one of my son's cars.

The audio quality on all is poor. That's not poor from an audiophiles sense, its poor as in a major deterioration in SQ. To me, the pitch sounds off and there's a deterioration in presence that's very noticeable.

For convenience its good, I use it for podcasts. For music, you're way better off with the headphone jack or a line out adapter (depending on your device).

I use the HTC one from Verizon ... Pretty good except the basssss ... From what I hear it has a special decoder that works on phones that have the same decoder. So look it up ... Unfortunately the iPhone 5 doesn't have it.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3. I was hoping to use this to stream music, Pandora and podcasts, but if sound quality is an issue, it is not even worth trying.

It maybe time to think about CIC retrofit with Combox add on.
