Hi all,

I'm picking up my new to me 440i GC on Thursday (currently have a 430i ), and strongly considering getting the MP PSK fitted.

I have some concerns about how "poppy" it sounds in lots of videos (too many awful Golf Rs that sound like a tommy gun around!), and it'd be great to hear one in real life. Are there any 440i owners around Bedfordshire that have the MP PSK on an otherwise stock car that'd be willing to do a compare?

Does your new car have a PPF as they started fitting them in 2018, IIRC.

If it doesn`t and you can get the MPPSK fitted then when in comfort it is more than acceptable noise wise , stick it in sport and give it a canning and is sounds a bit more anti social but only if you provoke it.

Some of the R`s and RS`s around here sound ridiculous with the Nov 5th fireworks going off whilst slowing down for a set of lights , providing they can be bothered stopping that is.

I work nights and normally get home around 3 - 4am and never had any bother with "curtain twitchers" as i just stick it in comfort before i drive into my street.

If you don't like bangs, cracks or upshift farts then keep away from the Sport button. Otherwise it's an excellent little noise upgrade from stock in Comfort. Zero drone and has the other benefits of the power increase, 1 yr warranty, active sound removal and they look great. I'd 100% recommend.

I'm up the road in Grafham Water if you want to hear.

You'll need to check the date your car was produced though, mid 2018 was the cut off.
I got mine done at BMW Peterborough which is not far from you at all.

No it's a pre-ppf, have already checked with a dealer if they can fit it

Ah great, not too far at all I'll give you a shout once I've got the car. It's a May 2018 and BMW have already checked that it fits.

It's got adaptive suspension so likely will want to use sport a fair bit to get that benefit - i don't mind loud and the odd proper pop, it's the overly-artificial fireworks type popping on overrun the many of the modern 4 cylinder cars seem to have that sounds a bit naff

Mine had those wheels when I ordered it. Im not sure why I paid the extra, when I got rid of them for the 624m about a week in

I think you have to notify the British Geological Survey to get special permission if you get more than 2 MPPSK cars together so it doesn't trigger any false seismological alarms with them

I'm fairly local so will try to think of a decent pub around that way, in the hope of a cold drink in the sunshine (although the weather could be a little unpredicatble tmrw evening)
I have a few possible venues to hand already.

I'm north beds, near oakley/bromham, so obviously advocate for areas closer to that way!

pubs sounds good, bar the potential issue of noise and ****ing off the patrons...Grafham Water looks rather isolated!

Ideally could we be looking at 6-6.15 kinda meet time? It goes dark before 8 these days and I don't have the adaptive LEDs, so according to those with adaptive will likely crash and burn if I'm not home before then...
