- slight refresh on front and rear - new rims - tweaked engine from twin turbos on either side of the engine (each turbo currently has their own manifold) to INLINE turbos... - slight increase in horse and torque... - DCT will be transmission option... again, it's CONFIRMED... I have yet to meet anyone under thirty that knows how to drive a manual tranny -- rpm-matched double-clutch downshifts etc.
Regardless, OT. Point is, if you want the hot version, you have to pony up for the DCT, which is a great tranny.

F1 cars aren't manual, in fact most GT cars are 'DCT-like/sequential gear boxes'. Anyway - my thoughts

I started this thread thinking this engine would come into the 3 at some time. Really I am hoping for a lighter 3 or 1` (tii?) moving toward more sport than luxury. If that does not happen I will be looking at Cayman or redesigned RX9 Thanks for the forum fun. |

I love how BMW is humoring us with a 330hp refresh....when the original 07' 335i came with around 330hp anyways lol. Unless they are underrating the 335is as well 330hp would mean somewhere around 360hp.
Anyways, JB3 + N54 = 400-450hp easy so..... |

I'm not exactly sure what your talking about, but I doubt that BMW would ever not offer a MT in the 335i. I could take or leave DCT or any dual-clutch flappy paddles, standard transmission will, for me, always be the most fun and offer the most control. On the Z4, I also doubt that they would stop offering the manual in the bigger engine option. However, I really don't know.

WTF is "s-drive" - how is this any different from regular RWD? Why bother including this on the badging/marketing on a vehicle where there is no choice of drive wheels?
I'm glad I have a proper 328xi badge and not a ghey "328 i x-drive" :P
