Coded this evening - all good now, I deselected MSN/VCM execution in options. I did most of the ones Mark suggested - checking this now:

Quick geeky question - I only have a netbook and they have an awkward resolution of 1024x600.

Some apps don't work properly as the buttons for OK/Cancel etc are off the screen - does anyone know if the coding apps are the same or do they work fine with that resolution?

Just tried it on my laptop with the resolutions wound down to 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600 - all seems fine after resizing the E-Sys window.

Can Internet be coded into cars that didn't have it ticked at build? Also presume TV needs extra hardware, not just coding?

One thing I noticed when coding recently was my PC was VERY slow at times! Think my RAM is only 1gb so I will definitely upgrade that to 2 or 4gb.

I've got the netbook and a Mac (and I don't fancy installing W7 just for this) - vaguely recall upping the memory in the netbook - we will see!

I haven't got the car yet.

Im looking at coding enhanced bluetooth and Video in motion and things like that.

Ive installed E-SYS no problem, but do I need 'E-SYS EST PATCH & TOKEN' to do stuff like above?

Yeah, you need it for CAD, it can eat memory and resources.

I got the high RAM for media editing/encoding - not absolutely necessary but it didn't cost a lot at the time and thought 'why not'.
