Revert to stock tune w/ HPFP left-in?
Out of curiosity and time-saving efforts, is the stock tune on our cars able to accommodate for the dorch hpfp left-in without throwing codes? (with all other hardware reverted to stock)
I have some bureaucratic hoops to jump through with emissions enforcement and will need to temporarily revert to stock, albeit for a prolonged period, to get my readiness monitors in order. Last edited by vanilla; 11-15-2020 at 04:25 AM.. |

as long as you keep the hpfp option enabled in mhd or bm3
the pumps only keeps the fuel rail pressurised nothing else . but the ecu has to know how to adjust it

On their facebook support group, the owner stated that bm3's official stance is to not touch emissions monitors when installed for legal purposes. Unless the bm3 uninstall/ BMW tune reinstall preserves the HPFP option it looks like I'm going to be playing with pressurized gas lines soon |

Yes I tried digging into the readiness monitor, might be available to modify on one of their newer updates but you cannot do it currently. It's best to search local facebook groups and find a friend who can help with your inspection

mhd has a stage0 zero option , able to have the hpfp box checked .
i presume bm3 has something similar , that should pass emissions ?

Selecting the option for an aftermarket HPFP is just like the option to disable the catless CEL. It disables one of the emissions checks in the DME, so it'll never show ready.

So does CA allow one monitor to be "not ready" or are they now at zero? I ask, BC you may want to consider a high quality catted DP and enable the catted DP option, This would leave you with just one monitor in a "not ready" state

For model year 2000 and above cars, they all must be in "ready". Only exception is EVAP.
