hpfp crashing

went out for a drive tonight and the car was breaking up under full throttle. I hooked up my phone and saw that my hpfp was dipping to 1100 psi. I had just filled up with e30 and thought maybe my mix was off so I added 2.5 gallons of 91. no change. I added another 2 gallons and the stuttering wasnt as bad, but hpfp was still dipping to around 1500 psi. Its never done this before. Can someone review this 4th gear log and help me understand whats going on?

Looks like you should start looking at upgrading you HPFP if you want to keep using that map. Otherwise switch to map that doesn't require maxing out the stock HPFP. Although others might be using these maps with no issue, its just a matter of time before the HPFP just craps out and can't keep up with the demand. Your timing, IAT, boost and wgdc are all good. But you do have a knock event at about 3400 rpms. Not sure how alarming this should be but knock is never good IMO.

When you installed your spool 180, did you upgrade the LPFP as well ? Your post history states this was the route you went and if you didn't install the LPFP upgrade you'll have issues.

I drop the car off tomorrow for the install. I've been running this tune for almost a year and this is the first time the hpfp dips this bad.

As Munchi mentioned, your HPFP just cant keep up. Everything else in the log - boost control, timing, etc - looks good except for the crash and the knock. Knock is unusual on a E map, especially when you have good timing. Its possible your E% is higher than you expected, and/or, IATs are lower than what you had when running this map previously. Both are big factors in HPFP crash. You can dial back your E mix quite a bit and see if you can run the map with less ethanol and get clean timing, or just run a pump gas map.

What do you mean? LPFP upgrade is not needed unless you are running very high ethanol mixes (>50%) and pushing pretty high boost (~20+ psi). Or, of course, if you are running PI. But with upgraded HPFP and no PI, stock LPFP can easily support 500+whp on moderate ethanol mixes around E30-E40. Kfardan pushed even higher with a big turbo on stock LPFP and ethanol mix, but he might have been spaying meth, i can't recall.

you do not need a lpfp to run 20psi on a stock turbo with a dorch stage 2 with e70 fyi.. thats literally my hard limit

yeah e% was way off. I added 5 gallons of 91 after this log and it was still crashing. I siphoned some fuel from the fuel rail to test the e% and it was at 35% after I added the 5 gallons. I’m dropping the car off tomorrow to install the new hpfp and ps2. I just wanted to make sure the car was running right for the before dyno pulls.
