I find the advantage of not dealing with engine sounds and exhaust noises while taking in the tranquil scenery around a premium. Id take the ipace if the charging situation isn't too problematic.

The Cranleigh offers a wide choice of rooms, I’ve stayed there a couple of times and never had a bad experience!

ah but with the Mini I can fold the roof back and see more scenery, and smell the country smells....

Have a look at this self catering. Maybe not what you were thinking but wanted to highlight this option.

We have stayed here many times. In an excellent location - short walk to Windermere.

There is a nice restaurant/ pub on site.

Excellent parking for the car. Not always good in the Lake District.
