I can't truthfully speak to the validity of the time. He is more north of me (1 1/2 hours), so it's easier for him to get to a track.

Not a legit strip, but considering I ran 8.6 w/ boost leak and traction on a parking lot 1/8 I gave myself 13.3 which is pretty high. should be hitting the 1/4 here soon for an official time should be 13.0-13.3 we will see considering most our times run around that speed we will see

Went to Lebanon Valley in Spring 2017 to run my car after I purchased the Dinantronic Sport and Injen intake. Also, I was running on stock 18 inch wheels with run flats and 93 octane fuel.
Decided to run it stock first to establish a baseline for comparison in which I ran a 14.14 @ 95 with a 2.08 60ft. Afterwards, I switched the sport tuner to Race setting (+4 psi). I did three runs on this setting and twice ran 13.6 so it was consistent. The best result that night was 13.66 @ 97.28 with a 1.95 60ft. I was very pleased with the half second increase while only spending a few hundred dollars. Since then, I switched to BM3 after having the car run lean twice on Dinantronic sport. Currently running Stage 1 93 octane tune and am curious to see how it differs from Dinantronic sport tuner. Sometime this fall I will run it again but this time on BM3, 19 inch wheels, and no run flats. Things I’ve noticed while data logging my car is that the target boost is 20.8 psi and air to fuel ratios in the 12s while WOT and that my car runs very hot as intake air temps are 130+. We just had some of the guys make the 150-mile trek up there and ran terrible due to weather. Not fun running in the desert during summer lol.

No excuses... but I can attest to the fact that it is insanely hot here right now. Probably will be for another two months.

I mean, that's not an excuse. That's something we call "Science".

I only added that part because every time I post on here I feel guilty because I have not been to the strip either and Im the one always bitching about needing more entries. I think we'll hit 10 by the fall which should give us a good idea of what this platform is capable of. |

I am definitely ready to go but it was discouraging to hear how the guys ran up at Fontana due to heat. Even the M2 was struggling hard and only pulling 12.3. 140+ IAT is no bueno. I'd like to get out there when we are closer to 80 honestly. I'd invite you along if you weren't so damn far lol.

Im down. We should go as late as possible in the evening to try and stay as cool as possible. Its every Wednesday night until 930pm. Id be down to run at like 9pm... although tomorrow night its still supposed to be 88 degrees at that time...
I have never been on the strip before and will not be winning any prizes lol. Still not tuned either but would be interested to make a pass or two with my current mods and then again once I get a flash tune to see the difference.... Do you bring your own helmet or rent? I read on the site that your only required to wear a helmet if you vehicle is sub 14s... Do you think I could tell them I would run above 14 and they would let me go without? Who actually has the final say on the helmet thing? To be honest, I may well run 14+ with these temps and no tune... I have no idea to be honest. Mods are in my garage. |
