Unhappy How to disable motion alarm for ferry?

Is there a way to disable the alarm and still have the vehicle locked (or just the trunk)? Last ferry ride my alarm went off.

I read that the key can be pressed again after locking but not if the mirrors are coded to fold in? Previous owner did I believe. However the mirrors don't always fold on lock and I can avoid that intentionally if it helps. I'm not currently setup to code it off though.

Thanks guys!

Use the connected drive app and remotely lock from your phone. Car is locked but alarm is not armed. Mirrors will NOT fold in. You could also do this: lock the car, then using comfort access or remote, unlock driver's door only(assuming your lock setting are set to unlock driver 's door on first push). Then reach into the back and unlock rear left door using the pull handle. Close driver's door, then through the open rear left door push the lock pin on driver's door. Finally push the lock pin on rear left door and close it. Now all your doors and trunk are locked without the alarm being armed.
I usually use the app to lock the car esp when it's sitting in the garage for days...I don't need my car locked and alarmed inside a locked garage.

Lock the car with the fob. Within ten seconds, press the lock button again. This disarms the interior motion sensor while leaving the car locked. Search for "interior motion sensor" in your manual.

This feature is lost if mirrors are coded to fold when locking. I coded mine to fold too, which is why to disable motion alarm I have to use the app or that other convoluted method...or just leave it unlocked.

Sorry, that's not my experience. My mirrors are coded to fold with a delay of 0, and I can disable the motion sensor with my fob; this works on both my 2016 328i and my 2018 230i. No idea why this doesn't work for you.

Mine is the same as yours works no problem. Helpful when leaving pooch in the car for a minute or two.

Doesn't work for me, even with delay set to zero...

Update:

When on the ferry I locked the 3 passenger doors manually from the inside, and then closed the driver door and locked with the metal key from inside the key fob. Alarm did not activate.
