Some time back I bought some fancy ornate gate hinges and hardware, I had to re-order them again, as they never showed up and went missing, however we did have a top of the Range Mac book turn up.

Well we thought touch, so we ran silent for a while see if anything happened, and it didn't and typing on it now!

I guess it can it work the other way round as well!

I just saw this on a local news page. Seems to represent what I’d feel.

Surprised to see RM score that highly.

I posted a 1st Class letter recently and it took 7 DAYS to arrive at its destination less than 90 mlles away. I could have taken it there on foot in 4 days, comfortably.

RM has recently been fined £5.6M for late deliveries (not just because of my letter ) as it's next day delivery performance for 1st Class letters was 74% (obligation = 93%) and 91% of 2nd Class within three days (obligation = 93.5%).

To be honest id take a carbon fibre and Alcantara trim set if one were to appear at my door randomly... I'd feel much better about things then

I once ordered some genuine F36 side skirts once for £180 on eBay, arrived in a massive box but noticed the name on the order was wrong.

Called up the seller to tell him this "problem", i took out the delivery slip only to read to him what I appeared to have received- and upon reading the slip my jaws dropped.

It was a genuine M perf carbon front splitter worth 9-10X the price of whatever I ordered-

Seller made a mistake and sent my side skirt to this other guy and i got the other bloke's order. Got that rectified- seller threw in some random BMW stuff my way as a thank you.

In hindsight i could have been rocking a genuine M perf splitter, but instead i am having a tea in a BMW mug and coaster of what my "good" deed yielded (life regrets)

I ordered a coilover set once. First set arrived Few days later another set arrived. I called up the firm who said 'no sir we haven't made a mistake' ' our stock shows that only one set was sent to you'
So I had no option to sell them via bimmerpost classifieds to a chuffed American buyer who paid more than what I paid for one set.

Evening, apologies for lack of updates but this is now resolved. Not by EVRI they were useless. I work in the nuclear sector and am part of a union. I get free legal advice which I used. They advised me I did have a case and would likely win even with a lack of physical evidence however it would be a long drawn out process spanning over many months likely due to backed up courts etc. They advised me as 335dx did by discussing the issue with my house insurance providers and I have since received all my costs and am no longer out of pocket.

I did send my letter before claim and EVRI had no response to it. That is as far as I got, had my house insurance not paid out I'd of continued to pursue this with the legal advice from my union free of charge however as other have mentioned it seems to be a whole lot of effort for a few hundred quid. It was all about principle when it first happened and I was extremely pissed off about it however with Christmas and a trip away with my partner in January on the horizon it seems time has healed my wounds however I shall never be using EVRI again that's for sure.

Apologies for not seeing it through to the end but in all honesty as times gone on I just can't be bothered with it and claiming on house insurance is far easier.

What's your home insurance policy excess ? Presumably these is one.

You've made a claim for £380, paid an excess (or it was deducted pre-settlement), and now have a claim registered against your policy which will likely affect your claims for several years.

Doesn't seem like a good strategy to me.

£50 excess paid in 7 days or £50 to file a court case potentially wait months and not win.

Yeah its a claim but a minor one and to be honest they hike my house insurance up anyway for no good reason and what good is it having insurance and not using it.

So thanks for your valued input about strategy but the matter is dealt with now.

If it helps, I've had a couple of big claims on my home insurance over the past couple of years (having gone 15+ without any) and its made negligible difference. Certainly seems to be far removed from my experience with car insurance, so I'd have done as you have.

Thanks for posting on this. It's a shame they couldn't be bothered to reply, but it's good to highlight to others your plight such that we can be informed when using Evri in the future (i.e. never).

Sorted now Dan

Draw a line under it and forget about it...

And avoid Evri like the plague; they are an utter shower of shite unfortunately

Thanks all, to be fair I hadn't even considered house insurance and if I had of then I'd of pursued this prior to taking action against EVRI. Anyway all is well that ends well.
