We are at a weird road with Politics at the moment.
Many will no longer vote for the Tories due to their handling of the pandemic and Brexit to a degree. I mean, how could you vote for Boris again? The alternative is what, Starmer? Boris is incapable of running a bath but I genuinely don't believe Starmer would be much better. He might help (bloat) the public sector (as Labour often do) but with the debt they would need to take on from the pandemic, I can't see how they can justify more spending unless they raise NI/Income tax massively for the middle/upper earners. Im utterly convinced income tax thresholds are rising to raise money in the next few years, once the pandemic is over. I don't see how they can pay for all this otherwise. Starmer claims to be centre left but many of the Labour party are still far more left than he is and the public won't go for it. Enough don't want leftist/woke/socialism politics that Labour have no hope of a majority in the next GE. Which leaves the question, who do you vote for? The Lib Dems? Do me a favour. The Tories will get in again, likely by more of a slim margin this time. |

Labour will struggle for a majority because of the power of the SNP which takes away a chunk of their old base support. I think many think they have done OK with the pandemic, and of course alot of old Labour seats voted for the Tories because of Brexit....
Add in that Boris wont be leader of Tories by next election and I think its only another Tory victory sadly. I'd rather have the Lib Dems..... |
