Hi all. Stupid question... I always thought this was a special skirt, is it just a vinyl decorative sticker over an otherwise standard m-sport skirt?

Considering extensions & splitters and this crossed my mind.

Why did you go for a smaller capacity!? 🤔
Normally you should aim for same or bigger.

I replaced my battery about a month ago and was pulling as hard as I could before I saw that hidden bracket! I left the bracket off after I installed the new battery.

The black is a decal for M Sport, I have it too.

Honestly didn't even think about the capacity difference. I got it for the value and availability since I'm about to go on a road trip.

Installed a BlackVue 750 dashcam recently but only got around to finishing the configuration today. This thing is neat! I thought I had done my homework but there are more features than I expected. I hope I never have to need it

Swapped out the chrome exhaust tips which were becoming pretty oxidized to the gloss black tips to match my bi-color orbit gray wheels

Yep, vinyl decals with the regular extensions. Take a peek at my car to see how the front splitter and extensions appear without the decal. I have them both, and the rear diffuser. I'm very happy with the look.

I did them last weekend too on my f31d! I started at mid thread on rear and maxed front which was about stock height… 26.75-27” all around.

Since I’m on 400m which can tuck, I Went a little lower than you did after cranking rear down as far as it would go with spacer still in, now almost tucking rears and half finger of mild tuck fronts… from 27” all around fender arch to floor to 25.5” front and 26” rear. I found this measurement style easier to replicate and check with a yardstick versus measuring to the cross in the wheel roundel as others like to do.

This was roughly 1/3rd down on the front, effectively putting bottom coil of spring at top of tire and adjuster just below it.
Find it easy to adjust fronts by just jacking up car to take the load off them and spinning by hand. Rears are a PITA and involve a 24” crescent on the KWTool while hoping the adjuster base itself don’t spin too much as you screw against the Threads. Would have been much easier to just screw them all the way down before install, or remove spacer and thread down to 4-5 threads showing.

wish I could go 25 front again and lower rear to 25.5 but I barely (like 2mm) cleared speed bumps at daughters first day of school today plus don’t want to kill the driveshafts, so it’s gonna have to stay the current height. It’s good where it is though for all but shows.

Chasing a rattle now on left front. Will pull apart and reseat everything next weekend see if I can fix it. Sounds like a sway endlink to me or like the springs aren’t seating well in the top hat.

Overall They ride very nice, firmer yet more supple as well, and pleased with them so far.

If I were doing again I’d leave the spacer off the rear adjuster so I had more downward adjustment, amd I will do so if I feel like pulling the rears apart again as I don’t need the ability to lift back up to stock ride height for winter (no snow) which is where the rears were with Spacer flush to bottom of adjuster.
Just a tip for anyone who installs the 12000AB set on the f31 and is looking to ride much lower than ~1” down since I didn’t see anyone giving any adjustment settings for Street Comfort compared to ride height to get any idea before install.

I heard a lot of good things about MG flasher if you have b48 or b58, more features and better power than BM3. BM3 is more traditional and easier to work with, their customer service is very good and quick to reply. Have not use MHD but people are switching from BM3 to MHD too, so, up to you.

Thanks! They are ARC-8 in anthracite, 18x9 et30 square.

Can't remember the price overall, but I went with 3M ceramic tint from a well respected local shop... so definitely paid a premium haha.

We did similar on install... half-way on the threads for both the front and rear. When we dropped the car on the ground, the front was slammed and the rear looked stock or maybe even higher! Haha looked like a drag car.

At the end of the day, we ended up with the rear threaded to about max lowering (about 5 threads shy of max) and the fronts only about 1/3 threaded from the top. Kind of frustrating that there is such a large difference front to back. I honestly haven't measured it yet, but will do today.

With 255/40 size tires and 18x9 et30 wheels it looks like I am actually going to have to raise everything about 5-10mm to ensure no rubbing and get the look I was going for. At 7 clicks from full soft, I'm thinking about firming it up a few clicks more also.

Ride is great though! Way more "comfort" than I even expected.

Fitted an M performance look alike sticker for my new 2TB shift knob. Install is actually a bit trickier than you might think (assuming you want to do it without damaging the metallic shift knob area around the sticker). You'll want to warm up the area in question with a heat gun and use a plastic pry tool for the removal. I wouldn't use a knife or any sort of metal object, as it can easily cause permanent damage that will look very ugly (I know because I did this with my old non-sport shift knob). The area for prying that best worked for me was the bottom left-hand corner. Just heat up and pry hard. I got the new sticker off of ebay for ~$12. Looks just like the OEM sticker except for the visible gray parking logo and square areas for the green LED's. It's black/invisible when unlit on the OEM version which I (unfortunately) like better, but overall I'm happy with it and I think it looks nicer than before.

Doing some light coding this weekend.

Added the gear indictor to my cluster (6MT here, unsure if the 8AT already get it by default). This is similar to the M3/M4 I believe?

Yep, next time I’m in the rear I’m pulling the springs and taking the spacers out of the adjusters to get more down adjustment in the back.

I started with rear one click harder than rears, I think 8 down rear and 9 down from full hard front and needed to soften the front one more click, as I’m looking more for comfortable cruiser than racecar.

I think they added that spacer because on the v1 the rears didn’t have enough up adjustment. Now they don’t have enough down, lol!
