If you don't have comfort access, is there a slot for the key fob?

I know the E90 has one but I haven't seen one in an F30...

Is there a place for the key if I don't have comfort access?

Sorry, I think my question is phrased wrong. In the E90, if you didn't have comfort access, you had to place your key fob into a slot before you can start the car, does the F30 have a similar slot?

No problem Eric - your question made perfect sense.

Even if you don't have CA, you still don't need to put the fob in a slot. You can just keep it in your pocket and hit the start button.

Not only can you keep it in your pocket, there is no slot for it if you wanted to. Same for all new BMW models. It's kind of a tease compared to comfort access. You have to take your key out to unlock it, then you can put it in your pocket, but you have to take it back out to lock the car again... Of course, you can also just drop it in the cup holder while you're driving.

Biggest advantage to me is when you want to leave the car running, to warm it up etc, you can walk away with the key and lock it. Nice not to pay for comfort access and still be able to do that I suppose. But CA still way better.

There is no slot on key the F30 to put your key in, even if you don't have Comfort Access. The car senses the key inside the car and turns it on once you press the start button with your foot on the brake. The same goes for the new 7 series, and 5 series.
