Haven't made my yearly trip to the Northampton shops for a while now. EG was definitely a favourite factory outlet to visit and Barker's selection was huge!

Love a good factory shop. We've got the John Smedley one at their mill not too far from us. Jumpers for around £35 instead of well over a hundred.

Once a year they do a bigger event and open up a hall in the mill where they sell them 4 for £100. Always worth a visit. And always surprised to see Japanese tourists turning up in hire cars in the Peaks just for that event.

Not been to Northampton shopping, but looks like loads of factory outlets there.

Exactly this! When I was in the Lobb store the assistant was telling me about how they'll (sometimes) fly in specifically for that reason, then spend hours and hours in the store and just end up picking out the most standard pair of black Oxfords 😂

The Lobb store. Did they have any BOGOF deals on multiple forum personas?

I suspect they fall firmly under the category of 'if you have to ask...' 😉
