Interested in how the clutch is going to hold up. I have the 550i clutch on my Vargas GC/TU set up, it's holding but quick shifts there's def a delay. Must be the CDV that I need to delete.

Anyways, interested in this build, can't wait to see!

Why only targeting 550whp? You could get that with any of the hybrid turbos and not add massive lag from the manifold/ large turbo.

I explained it in the video. The 8374 is the smallest turbo so no real lag, along with it being a proper ball bearing EFR turbo so less lag than other aftermarket options and basically the best transient response in the market. I am also limited by my fuel pump and clutch currently. A simple turbo swap in the future can support 1000hp when I'm ready to go that far.

Nice setup man very jelly haha. I find it interesting that DocRace gives you the options for the big EFR turbos except for the 8474. From what I read it only spools slightly slower if any than the 8374 but probably makes an additional 100whp.

Agreed. I'm not sure about making that much additional power, but it definitely has been proven to make more power and is more efficient at the same boost levels. However, the given turbo options do a good job of spreading across 600-1000hp+ range. Too many intermediate options may make it more confusing for consumers.

Currently waiting on my parts to get back from coating next week and I'll post some more pics.

on N55 efr 8374 you could make 132/133mph at 1320mts lag is similar to oem ... on your B58 it should be a great choice .. keep it up !

Looks like this would ultimately be rather easy to work on. I'm curious to how well it holds up to heat soak because they just cram this tiny filter on the front of the turbo with no heat shielding. You gonna get a turbo blanket for it too?

Yes

ceramic coating to insulate heat in the runners and downpipe. The goal is to reduce engine bay temps with the turbo mounted up above the cylinder head/valve cover.
