F3x ACC Retrofit Development Thread

I found a holly grail pre lci ACC dsc pump on eBay last night and the seller accepted my low ball offer so here we go again. I have retrofitted ACC on my E90, F10 and now it is time for the F30. Since the F30 deep down is an economy car a lot more crap needs to be ordered.

For my M sport car this is the current parts list:

CM high control unit - 1 pc
DSC hydraulic unit - 1 pc
ACC sensor - 66 31 6 868 046
Sensor bracket - 66 31 6 853 978
Bracket - 51 11 8 056 106
Front mudguard wires - 61 12 9 326 025
Air intake insert Ср - 51 11 8 068 135
Ball screw head, self-tapping screw (4) - 07 14 6 777 838
Screw (self-tapping screw) (4) - 07 14 6 973 023
Nut with spring clip (2) - 41 35 7 060 601
Switch for m / f roll ... M-Sport wheel - 61 31 7 849 412
Pulse sensor DXC front (2). - 34 52 6 783 051
Brake shoes, front x 1 piece - 34 11 6 865 460

My car had adaptive suspension so my factory ICM should support ACC. I am worried that the pre lci DSC will not support advanced features like driving assistant + when I eventually get a kafas camera. The wiring between the two looks the same except in different connectors so I am wondering if I could retrofit a lci acc dsc vs the pre lci one I found on eBay.

I think you can use an LCI DSC, however, the brake lines won’t fit directly.

That looks pretty jank so I am happy I found a pre lci unit. My buddy wants to do the same retrofit and he found a lci pump so that is still good to know.

Pre-LCI cars had ACC but cars built before 08/2013 had a different DSC pump with a different connector. These early dsc pumps are super hard to find. I don't have the cash to complete the retrofit now but I will install my new pump since I can code it for non acc use and I need to flush my brake fluid anyway. On my old F10 I could buy a more common ACC pump from a 7 series and flash it with F10 firmware. On the F30 I almost never see cars speced with ACC.

ACC DSC is installed and works!

I had to use my original DSC bracket as the ACC one was little bit different.

I am starting to shop around for the other ACC parts. I found the front and rear ATE OE wheel speed sensors on rock auto for $200 which is a steal!

The PNs are: ATE-360389 and ATE-360375

The final big ticket item will be finding a set of M sport ACC buttons. I am trying to find them used so I don't have to spend close to $300 for a new set.

Did your existing ICM work without any issues? Finding an ACC ICM is very challenging, however, if I can use an ICM with adaptive (ICM high), those are easier to find. Did the retrofit cause the emergency call malfunction or was that there prior to the retrofit? Great job. This seems to be a fairly straightforward DIY assuming that you can find all the correct components.

Have you done PMA Gen II over this retrofit? Your DSC pump is not MK BASIS 100, so i have doubts you can retrofit driving asistant to this car anymore.

What a nightmare to have a 2012 or 2013 f30. I have headaches too.
