So in laymans terms what we are saying is that there's a maximum difference on an axle set of 2 mm however there's more freedom/variation available between axle sets ??

I'm sorry, but whoever Peter Braun is, he's talking bollocks! If 'All' the wheels on a car with 4 wheels are being driven then it is 4 Wheel Drive!

I think he's getting muddled up with the different types of 4WD/AWD, of which there are many, but all of them are interchangeably called either 4WD or AWD.

This was pretty much my understanding of the two.

But, I chose sDrive.
