Hi y’all, recently i’ve been having this issue that i’ve not had the ability to solve and it’s super frustrating, i’ve now gone through two passenger CV axles due to the boot shreadding by the hub.
https://youtube.com/shorts/7AMmd86E8...mSbfWRVO790Ll7

this is twice this has happened now. i’m
not too sure why it is happening at all.

2013 335i xdrive
For suspension mods i have
ST coilovers XTA I’ve had these on for almost 6000 miles. the first occurrence happened after my control arms

new front lower and upper control arms.
I bought a set for xdrive. This is when it occurred after about 1000 miles, the boot ripped, then i replaced it and now after almost 1000 miles again, the boot rips again. Also to note the CV axle itself doesn’t seem broken, the boot just keeps breaking.

Awkwardly, when i did my alignment, my passenger side had a camber of -1.7. I’m also not too sure why this is happening because. i heard it was a thing with f30 to have more camber on the passenger side.

I've heard of this happening with m3 lower control arms, they aren't the same length so the geometry is changed and pulls the axle out harder. You said you changed control arms. Are you sure you got the right part number? Did you torque the bolts correctly? Not sure about those coilovers or how low you set them but you might want to check all that and raise them up.

More importantly -1.7 isn’t normal. BMW doesn’t have a different spec for each side of the car. Your coil overs should have an adjustment on the top hat. You should double check to see where the adjustment is.

I bought a set of lemforder set of upper and lower control arm for xdrive on fcpeuro. They don't have the part number on the control arms so its difficult to tell, but I know I didn't buy the non xdrive or m3 ones. I did torque the control arms down to about 100nm. I'm also not too low (about a inch gap in the front).

My coilovers only have stiffness adjustment on the tophat. I was reading up how to adjust camber on the front, and a lot of forums said its basically impossible to adjust camber on the front unless you get aftermarket stuff. I had replaced my control arms, check if the strut is bent (was not bent) , made sure if anything was touching the boot under load (nothing). Do you know why my boot is shredding? I was reading up on some forums talking about going low destroys axles, but I've never seen one where the boot tears in the front (only the inner boot).

BMW sells a spindle that has .5* of camber built in to fix it. There's 2 part numbers for each side, 3 if you count the stock part number -.5, and +.5 Again, 1.7 is WAY out of line. Spec is .5

I'm thinking he has some sort of damage to the suspension on that sit of the car.

If the control arms are new, I'd look to see if there's some type of damage/bending/incorrect setup with the strut/coilover.
