Mineral Grey 440i Build\Photo Log
<<<< Keeping everything in one thread as a personal diary of all the mods I do on the car and photos I take >>>>>
This is my third BMW. Started in 2009 with a 328i x-drive (4-door). Fell out of love with that car pretty quickly due to poor choices I made at purchase. Most notably not getting xenon headlamps. Just hated the look with halogen headlamps. . . Custom ordered a 2011 335i x-drive coupe (manual) in September 2010 and took delivery in November of that year. I absolutely loved that car and drove it for almost 8 years until I ordered my newest car - again in September with a November delivery. The only regret I had with this car was that it was X-drive. Winters with dedicated snows was a blast to drive in though. Absolute tank in the snow. Unfortunately, I never liked the wheel fitment - always looked like a Jeep. This time, I decided to take the chance and order a rear wheel drive for the first time in my life. Why let 5 months of the year be the decision maker for the rest of the year? Besides, winter tires make a huge difference - - or at least that's what I'm told. I'll find out soon enough. I also ordered an automatic this time. So far, I'm loving that choice! Not many pictures of the car stock since I had a lot of the M-Performance parts added by the dealer prior to pickup. Then 3 days later I had tint and the MPPSK installed. Now I'm just counting down the miles until its thru the break-in period. 2019 440i Mineral Gray M-Sport Executive Package Track Handling Package Driving Assistance Package Black Kidney Grilles Dynamic Digital Cluster Head-up Display Heated Steering Wheel Power rear sunshade Stainless Steel Pedals Wireless Charging M-Performance MPPSK (Carbon Fiber Tips) Rear Spolier Diffusor Front Splitters & Lip IND Reflector Delete Winter setup: M359 Avant Garde 19" Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 Tires - Square setup: 245/40/19 Motorsport Hardware Stud Conversion with Titan Forged Neochrome lugs Last edited by rdesjar; 03-11-2019 at 12:14 PM.. |

Very nice ride you got there. I'll have to be on the lookout for it since I'm in the Albany area as well. Nice choice in winter setup.

No plans. Coming from an Xdrive, this looks perfect to me. Besides that, I already get a slight bit of rub at full wheel lock (245 R40 19) and I would worry about the front lip getting scratched up on speed bumps if the car was any lower.

Thank you!! I am definitely done for now. In addition to the mods, I also downloaded Bimmercode, purchased a Veepeak OBDcheck, and coded a few things. Bimmercode is awesome! I was very nervous after reading a couple horror stories on the forum (lost navigation, etc.), but as long as you take your time and are smart about it, it's very straightforward and easy.
I really think this car is perfect for me now in every way - visually and performance wise. Ok, maybe a JB4 in the spring . . . . . |
