here is 225/45/18 swapped to 245/40/18 on OEM 397 18x8 ET34, notice the 245 fills the gap with it's square shoulder...

I totally agree. A couple years ago based on your recommendation I went from stock 225/45-18 runflats on 400M 8.0x18 ET34 wheels to summer 245/40-18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Amazing handling in dry and wet. The end result appears like a 10mm spacer was added to stock setup. Nice look. Closer to flush than stock.

based on your wheel specs, none of these combos below will rub fenderwell, suspension parts, or fenderwell liner while turning:

245/40/18(25.7"), 275/35/18(25.6") widest setup
245/40/18(25.7"), 255/40/18(26.0") best for handling and for less power of your 4cyl
235/45/18(26.3"), 265/40/18(26.3"), best tire/rim width fitment, larger diameters will fill fenderwell gaps requiring less lowering.

235/40/18, 265/35/18 diameters are too small, it increases fenderwell gap which would require more lowering to reduce. speedo will also read higher than actual and odometer will accrue more than actual with smaller diameters.
.
So I did ANOTHER round of calls and they said they had the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE004 in the sizes of 235/40-18 and 265/35-18 that you also originally recommended.

You think this would be a better fitment against the 245's and 255?

they are 25.4" and 25.3" respectively

245/40/18(25.7") & 255/40/18(26.0") or 235/45/18(26.3") & 265/40/18(26.3") if available

Alright out of luck. Looks like I am going to have to go with OEM sizes pilot sports. No tires for the season at all. This is such a drawback of living in Asia, we are also paying a massive premium on these tires, even for OEM sizes.

So here is the site that is working with my car that shows the same wheel size/offsets on OEM tire sizes:

Tbh, not TOO bad. These are all stock height, and since I am getting it lowered, it should look better than the ones above shown in the pics.. ?

Your new setup will be more subtle. EC-7 classic mesh has more of an oem vibe.
