I re-flashed today with v3.61 of the app and the following 4 options in the multi-map slots:

1: Stg2/91oct. 100% (daily driver)
2: Stg2/91oct. 60% (valet)
3: Stg2/93oct. 100% (max fun on pump gas)
4: Stg2/93oct. 95% (HP/TQ between the Stg2 91 and 93 oct. maps)

I'm not sure if/when I'll use the multi-map function, but it's there if I want to.

I hope MHD introduces the option to have an OEM(+) map in slot 1. That would actually be useful.

Hey guys,

Just did the multimap for my trip to Austria, i may not get the 102 Aral fuel so i made following maps:

Slot 1: my daily setting stage 1 98ron (driven with 102 fuel due to better timings and variation in fuel quality)

Slot 2: the low fuel quality map with stage 1 on 95ron

Slot 3: the 102ron stage 1 tune for Max Power

Slot 4: the 102ron with 90% Power just because

Regards
Peter

Question?
Did i read somewhere that the normal MHD maps are better/more powerful then the multi map versions of the same map? I can't prove this with times or dyno's but it almost feels that way to me. Who knows, maybe it was a dream because i can't find the post, just curious if anyone else has felt this?

No.
Officially, according to MHD, they are exactly the same map.
Unofficially there have been people complaining from more corrections and worse logs in Multi-map mode on the same map, than in single-map. Others disagree.

I have yet to find any application of Multi-map before I can try to determine that…
Sticking with single-map for peace of mind (in the absence of any advantages for me of multi-map)

I knew i read that somewhere, thanks... and like i said, my feeedback is anecdotal at best but my logs are slightly better with the single map versions also. This could be temp related slash condition related but i swear, the old butt dyno says there may be something to it...

I'm just guessing on this but I'm assuming that the only way to switch between stages on the fly, would be to have more than one stage loaded onto the DME. I don't know if this is possible as the DME may only allow for one stage at a time. Also switching between stages has to be done in ignition mode. Changing stages in any other way e.g engine running may run the risk of bricking the cars ecu.

Question on an old post: Is there map switching for N55e? Or only N54 and N55f/g? It looks like nothing for N55e in their guide. I sent them the same question.

According to MHD themselves, they said the E series DME sucks, it won't work and they are focusing on the newer models and E series stuff is bottom of list.

I see why you would wanna switch maps if someone else was driving it such as valet parking or having work done but I regulate power with my right foot and it seems to work just fine.

yes we got the same problem now, and after 2 years MHD still ignore this problem, or maybe they just dont care about this. I wish the multimap can be: slot1 stock power with no extra sound, slot2 stage0+ with exhaust, slot3 stage1 without exhaust, slot4 stage1 with exhaust. but seems like MHD cannot achieve this.
