I have been doing some simple things with esys in the past and VO coded option 248 (heated wheel) in there recently.

As it didn't seem like a big deal and had the right tools for the job I decided to do an ilevel update, also so I could get the fullscreen carplay eventually!

Flashing took about 1h and all went smooth (Thanks Shawn for providing support and psdzdata).
Once finished I got a list of errors including a flashing airbag light. I did try to lock the airbag and cleared all errors. Unfortunately I am unable to lock the airbag with esys transmitter or tool32!

Finally it appears my navigation in idrive doesn't work anymore and also my climate control seems a bit odd (I can change temp, speed, etc but A/C light keeps flashing and no AC works, heated seats however do work).

Not sure if I have missed something in the steps? One of the things I did see is that the VCM and MSM update was selected, is that what caused it and how to update?

Quite normal after flashing or coding the IHKA.
The IHKA ecu must initialize itself.
This can take up to 5 minutes, so just wait.
