How to Buy Pads for M Performance Brakes?

This is probably a stupid question, but I can't figure out how to make sure I get the right brake pads. All the websites have you enter your car to filter the results, but the brakes are upgraded M Performance so that doesn't do any good. I can put in the F80 but as I understand it the pads are slightly different. For reference it's a F30 328i with m performance brakes and I'm looking for EBC Redstuff.

No problem! F3x BMW M Performance brakes have front 4-piston Brembo 370mm and rear 2-piston Brembo 345mm. The front Brembo 340mm and 370mm actually take the exact same pad.

I highly recommend Hawk 5.0 pads over EBC. They have the best bite by far. See the attached photo for part numbers.

Also it's a good idea to upgrade your rubber brake hose to stainless steel brake lines for a much more solid brake pedal feel. It eliminates brake pedal mush. StopTech has them for only $110/set of four. See photo.

Hope this helps!

@johnung
Have you ever seen Hawks pads fall apart after just 15.000km?
I had that and never had Hawk pads since.
But you are right. Have never had pads with better bite. Really amazing

I've used them on all my cars with never an issue. When you say "fall apart", do you mean the pad material separated from the steel backer plate? Did you contact Hawk? They probably would have shipped you a new set. They are a US company that manufactures in Ohio.

Yep. That's exactly what happened.
No I didn't contact them.
I just got some other pads and moved on and didn't dare to try them again.

F8x stock pads are exactly the same dimensions so they will fit both cars with the 4piston Brembos regardless of the rotor diameter. The pad material will be different.
