Tune with 500Nm max
Hi,
I recently bought a 340ix F31 ZF8 MPPSK. Thinking about going with BM3 or MHD I would like to increase the top end power without touching the mid range torque. So basically extand the 500nm torque range upper in RPM. I saw that on MHD we can select if we have a manual trans/XHP or ZF8 without XHP. If I select manual trans/xhp will it keep the torque limitation of the gearbox at 500Nm properly and just keep it at higher RPM? Or should I go with BM3 and custom tune it? Thanks for your help. |

BM3 removes that 500nm limit. You can add back "torque by gear" reductions though, it's just the hard limit is removed.
xHP gives you the ability to tailor the actual limiter number. I did xHP before BM3 had that in their mapping and it was awesome! I was finding on BM3 stage 2, I was getting throttle cuts in 1st gear with the 500nm limiter Just avoid spinning tires in 1st and there isn't really a huge issue. It's the spinning and then tires hooking up that gives you a ton of driveline shock that blows stuff up. |
