How much do you guys pay for oil changes in the USA?

How much do you all pay for a basic oil change? And do you go to dealership or local shop?

Just curious. My dealership has a $99 value oil change special, and a local BMW shop just told me $200, so I'm curious what everyone else is paying.

About 15 - 16 (dependent on my discounted FEDEX cost) back to FCP-EUR, after my initial oil change cost of about 58. DIY

Recently needed a quick oil change and it was raining outside. I don't have a garage now that I've downsized to a condo. So I stopped by a new Jiffy Lube down the street. I provided the oil and a Mann filter kit (total $40) and they did it for $50 labor.

The mechanic who did it was experienced with BMWs. I stood right at their garage door watching to make sure that they installed the filter o-rings correctly and torqued it correctly.

Definitely will use Jiffy Lube for labor again when the weather doesn't cooperate!

I get the BMW oil kit from FCPEuro. It is usually around $70 and I do it myself. Besides the price gouging and shitty service at the dealer it's just easier to DIY.

Fcp’s new return program is store credit. I haven’t used it yet.
Before (first order doesn’t count) i would order oil, change it, order new oil, ship used oil back and get a refund. So basically after the first one, oil changes were essentially free minus return shipping.

Paypal had free return shipping that ended in November. So before that I didn’t pay for oil in years.

At the dealer I pay $105 or $115 after taxes something like that. If I want to sell my car I want the oil changes on the Carfax otherwise I'd go somewhere cheaper or do it myself.

They may end up on Carfax, they may not. Do it yourself, keep the oil and filter receipts.

I take it to my local dealership and pay $99 as well. Cost of oil & filter for DIY is ~$80 so I'll pay the extra few bucks to have them do it, only thing I go to the dealer for. Plus they give it a once over and I get a loaner car for the day

About $15 to $20 dollars. I change my own oil and use FCP Euro for oil and filter return program.
