Seems to be the way of it with the AD's , going to give it another few months then look for something else , possibly an IWC or another Bremont.

I like Bremont but not a fan of their movements. Not the fact they are not in-house (that doesn't bother me at all) but I had some issues with the rotor on mine, making quite a bit of noise and vibration. Seems I am not the only one as it's normal for the ALT1-ZT. Also the minute hand on mine fell off after 3 months of ownership. Bremont CS is brilliant though and they fixed it quickly but then it came back with damage on case which they also fixed.

Its now sold, pity as I really liked how it looked and the fact they are British.

Ergh.. my tag F1 Automatic won't wind! Tbf it's long overdue a service. Where's the best place for repair? I recall there being somewhere mentioned on here but can't find it.

Oh no that's not great, but you can take the opportunity to get a new strap and then it will feel like a brand new watch when it comes back from the service centre, with a £800 bill instead!

In other news Rolex have started doing certified pre owned watches, if you thought WF were a bit toppy for Rolex then check these prices out

I saw this and thought the idea was to put a dent in the grey market but at these prices still lots of scope for that. It's meant to open up to other AD's also next year. Rolex used prices have actually soften up a bit lately, clearly not got the memo.

Their offer won't cost them anything because, if you get a Rolex service, it includes a 2 year warranty anyway. The watches supplied to the dealer will be Rolex serviced first, therefore, 2 year warranty.

Going by Bucherer's initial prices, it's going to make the grey market look cheap! The grey market dealers are loving this because all that's happened is that Rolex and their authorised dealers have seen the profits made by flippers over the last number of years and now they are going to get their share of that cash as well.
Rolex make the profit from the sale of the new watch and, thereafter, whenever it's sold under this scheme, they make another profit.

I'm afraid that people wanting a Rolex at a reasonable price will be as badly off in the future, as they are now, maybe worse.

I think the wristwatch has turned into being the most vulgar display of wealth there is now.

I have a collection of nice watches, but its getting ever increasingly difficult to wear them out these days!

Safety first. I usually wear a G Shock when on patrol.

It is getting crazy out there though for sure

Apparently they are trying to play it like porsche do with their top models like the gt3rs
You should be able to get your hands on the rolex you want by first buying a more un-desirable watch with a guarantee that you will go on the list and rolex will buy that watch back at a higher price. Rolex are building a bigger production plant and should be able to produce 25% more watches. But let's see how it pans out

We were in London last week and the timepiece of choice was the good old G- Shock.

No point making yourself a target, which is a shame especially if nice watches are your thing.

Bought one and returned it. Not for me. Found the bracelet too sharp and uncomfortable.

Agreed. I only have a Omega AT nowadays and most of the time wear my Garmin or G Shock. Keeping my AT for my wedding otherwise was even thinking about selling that.
