None on the street, just get rubbing at full compression when going through a dip or a corner on the track…. Not sure why I went so low…
That's perfect
I think I'll pull the trigger
From the sounds of it you really felt a positive difference in the character of the car, full send.
You're lower with more aggressive fitment so I think it's safe if you're only getting rubbing on extremes.

I still need to upgrade my tension arm, I’m thinking I may go the m3 part and then use a spacer similar to this

https://cmpautoengineering.com/colle...ol-arm-spacers

I think the m3 tension rod is a solid rubber bushing vs fluid filled for the stock item? Cost between the two parts seem similar

My plan was to do f8x tension strut, press bushing out and use power flex bushing for f30.
I just been on the fence because all the mixed feelings about f80 components but I think I'm going to pull the trigger on it.

I've been following this thread the last couple months as I've been preparing to have my rod bearings service. My cars has 118k miles with oil change's ever 3k-5k miles. I do drive my car spiritedly and am running bm3 stage 2h with ps2 turbo. I have an mmr oil baffle I am going to have installed when I get the bearings done. I am gonna use oem bearings and oem bolts as they have served me and many others well for a long time.

Is there anything else I should look at when the car is open and have the shop potentially replace? Car goes in the shop next week.

Nows the time to do the swaybar…. Engine mounts also could be good? Easier to access the downpipe, water pump and thermo while the subframe is out…. Also check the condition of the turbo oil and coolant pipes…. Maybe pure stage 2 turbo as well?

Thermostat was just done along with PS2 turbo about 2000 miles ago. So I guess I'm good to go. Will be doing front sway bar myself at a later date.

Since the oil pickup tube is plastic is there any possibility of that becoming brittle over time? Just trying to brainstorm anything the could need refreshing while the pan is off.

Perfect. I can't wait to see what my bearings look like. Shouldn't be to bad as I'm on top of my oil changes.

I just got a call from my shop saying the mmr oil baffle won't fit with my oil pan. I'm going in now to try and look at it. Any ideas? I have a 2014 335i rear wheel drive m sport

That's very strange it should fit like a glove, I'm also a 2014 m sport RWD

What exactly is the problem do you know?
The baffle mounts to the windage tray, it mounts to 4 existing bolts that are replaced with longer bolts provided. It literally hugs the pick up tube nicely, so I'm confused by what they're saying, it's fool proof.

Any update? I’m guessing it was user error at the shop? Especially as it attaches to the engine and not the oil pan?

it was shop error. After going there we where able to fit it properly and fit the oil pan over it. Everything else went perfectly. The old bearings showed very little wear which is makes me happy.

Definitely hope to keep this engine running for another 100k miles

Out of curiosity, why did you go with MMR baffle when you could have done S55 oil pump and swap?

Cost, and the baffle works really well at what it’s designed to do. My car isn’t a dedicated track toy and won’t even see r compound tires in its life. I did it for peace of mind.

Ahh, gotcha. That makes sense. I never looked into the cost of the S55 conversion, I only knew it was an option other than the $460 MMR baffle from ECS.
