I've decided to add my wife as an additional driver, but that changed both drivers to her and I cannot change it back

Well I tried registering Connected Drive, and ended up on this page. I guess I need to contact my local dealer to finish the process? I can still log into the My BMW portal.

Really nice to see this available. canadian33, I really like the fact that you are communicating it through this community.
Only problem I see is my car picture shown in the ConnectedDrive account is a Sport Line 340i with Estoril Blue. The "My BMW" account shows it correctly in M Sport with the right wheels, active LED headlights and all my other options. Would be nice to see pricing of services even before the within 3 months of expiry in this portal. I personally have no idea how much it would be to renew my ConnectedDrive account.

The ConnectedDrive portal is pulling the car images from a different database and we don't have VIN decoding for a option specific look. Because of resource restrictions with the project, we went with the correct model and colour and not the VIN decoding. This is something that we will look to add a later point in time. In terms of the pricing, this is something that we can look at adding or making visible even if the car is not eligible for a renewal with a future release or update. There were specific business rules that came into play as to when to show and not show pricing. |

No news from ASAP but will Canadian users be able to download CarPlay like they can in the U.S.? I have no real interest in using it but if I could easily download it for whatever price BMW would charge, I would like to play around with the functionality.

As far as I know, I thought all you needed was ConnectedDrive (subscription) but logging into the portal, there is no option to download it. All I get is the message saying I can't renew any services until 3 months before service expires - unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

Canada is simple: Smartphone Connectivity Package (requires Premium Package Enhanced which I have) hence my confusion. In the U.S. it's a bit different as they're more free with individual options so you have to see which options/packages are required to retrofit or add other options later but in Canada, we have everything pretty much bundled into packages so a lot more clear cut.
