Help! How to remove this centre trim!

Im just in the middle of removing the centre console so i can access my airbag module and then take the dashboard off.

I have been however struggling to take this centre peice off, around the gear stick.

It just wont come off and im scared to not want to pull on anything too hard, just incase something snaps

Please if anyone could help as im outside with the car now.

I took a quick look:

Remove the DSC + drivetrain selection buttons to start (its there in your image). Never done this myself, but looks like you should be able to slip your fingers in there (thats what she said!) and pop them up from the bottom. Or if you must, trim removal tool them.

Maybe there is a screw under them?

Besides that it looks as though it should be a simple pop in?

EDIT : Also make sure there is no screws UNDER the ashtray / rubber mini mat thats in there if you have no ashtray.

Cheers mate, i done just that.

Just a tip for anyone else who is in the same boat, or will ever be in the future and your reading this:
The trim literally comes off and is not held down by any scews, It help me more, when i removed the gear stick, which was literally just 4 hex head bolts as this allowed more space for my hands to comfortably pry pull off the trim (But that is just a personal preference)
