Msport brake package- "BMW" on front calipers?

I noticed on the 2014 i test drove today- had "BMW" on the front calipers- is this just standard or are they msport brakes/calipers?

I believe Msport brakes are determined by color. If its Blue then you got it, if not then no.

The standard 4 piston calipers on the 335 have the BMW logo starting with 7/13 production (MY14) .

M Sport brake cars have blue calipers front and rear with "///M" on them.

Incorrect. M sport brakes are the blue calipers that are a factory option. M performance brakes must be put on after the fact and come in those colors you just listed.

You do a search. If it already came with M Performance Brakes, then it must have been port installed or another reason.

Blue = M Sport Brakes ($650 option)

Red, Orange, Yellow = M Performance Brakes/BBK (Around $2K and requires new Performance brake discs that are dimpled/slotted)

For the 4-series the "BMW" logo is standard on the calipers, but they are gray. "MSport" calipers are painted and have the "M" logo on there as well. Most of the ones I have seen are blue, but I believe you can get different colors as well.

Forgive me guys, but I think you missed the OPs question. If you chose M sport, but did not get the upgraded brakes, you still got different brakes than a regular F30. These brakes say BMW on them.

I did not know this until I changed the brakes on my own F30, with the same option setup I just described. Apparently the pad material on these are different than the standard model, but I'm not sure about that.

+1. I've a 2014 M Sport. Mine say BMW on them. My 2013 m Sport did not, which makes me think this was added for 2014.

What are the actual performance differences between the M Sport, M Sport upgrade, and M performance brakes? I have a 2013 328i Sedan with the stock M Sport brakes, fluid, lines, rotors, pads and calipers. I’ve tracked the car quite hard at the Lime Rock and Thompson Speedway road courses in Connecticut (4x25 minute on-track sessions with at least 45 minutes between sessions), and the stock M Sport brakes performed very well. I did increase my braking zones compared to when I’m driving a Spec Miata, but I've experienced no brake fade in the 328i and the bias was very balanced and stable. My point is that the (relatively inexpensive) stock M Sport brakes on the 328i perform very well on the road and track despite the fact that the calipers aren’t painted or flaunting logos.

I have a 13 335i M Sport Package, but I don't think I have ///M calipers. I'd like to install them, but idk if I should since they current standard ones (I think) are still pretty good.
