hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I have a 2017 BMW 340xi and I wanted to know which catless dp would give me the most power on a stock 340i and also how to go about not throwing a cel and if i do throw a cel what coding system would i use to clear it?

Welcome! As far as power, I think differences will be very minimal if any between different catless downpipes but I could be wrong. That being said, I myself run the vrsf catless downpipe, a good majority of b58 users run it as well. Cheapest one on the market, great gains and well made.

As far as the right tool to get rid of cel, that I'm not exactly sure of.

I think about 20-30hp. You'll need an extension for the o2 sensor to avoid CEL.

Near 0 gains without a tune.

+1 on no gains without a tune. I ran the vrsf catless dp on my car without a tune for about 3 months. Noticed nothing other than it being louder and smelling like straight a**. MHD stage 2 woke up the car.

All catless downpipes throw a CEL, you need a flash tune like boomtod3 to hide the code.

VM posted a dyno a few years back with downpipe only (no tune) it showed 10-15 HP gains
